Gibbston River Trail

We spent a week in the area and we hired Eco bikes and bike the trail to Arrowtown for lunch one day and on another day we hiked the other direction towards the Gibbston Valley vineyards. Great way to work off all the good food and wine you consume on holiday. Highly recommend doing any part of the trail you have time for.

Cargo Brewery

Our Brewery & tasting room are located at Waitiri Creek, Gibbston Valley, Queenstown. The tasting room was originally the Wangaloa Presbyterian Church. It was built in 1894 and relocated to Queenstown in 2000 where it became the cellar door for Waitiri Creek Vineyard. We serve locally produced Waitiri Creek Wines at our tasting room. Guests can enjoy a unique beer and wine tasting experience.

Stopped in here for a beer while on the cycle trail, and ended up having the tasting tray. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and excellent beer. There are some great food options in the menu and also some games on the lawn. This would easily be a place to hang our for a couple of hours
