The town of Newbern was established by Adam Hance in 1810 along the primary migration route westward into Kentucky and beyond. Today the Wilderness Road Regional Museum is house in the Hance residence. Adam and son Henry Hance ran a store, post office, tavern, and land development from this location. Tours are given Tuesday-Saturday 10:30am to 4:30pm and by appointment. Donations accepted.
I do enjoy each visit I make to Wilderness Museum. The staff are extra helpful if you have a question and they go all out to provide information and entertainment for their guests. I highly recommend going!!!!!

This camp ground could be a quiet relaxing time, or a fun-filled family time. It has a little bit of both. Everything is very clean and well taken care of

Recently I traveled with Sunshine Tours to the the Sands Hotel and Casino with a day trip into New York City. Our accommodations at the Sands Hotel in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania was first class and very comfortable. The casino and meal vouchers we received were great. The trip to New York featured a stop at Rockefeller Center where we visited the Ice Rink, Christmas and was able to walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall and other attractions in the immediate area. We enjoyed lunch in the Times Square Area before going on a river cruise up the Hudson and East Rivers where we cruised by Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and enjoyed a nice night time view of the New City Skyline. Dinner in Little Italy before we headed back to the Sands for the night. Our Bus driver was excellent, putting the safety and comfort of his passengers first. And out guide was knowledgeable about all aspect of our trip and saw that we were entertained and informed throughout out trip. All and All, this was a most enjoyable trip and I look forward to traveling with Sunshine Tours again.
