Coniston Shooting Ground is run up by Peter Manley and a close knit team of experienced staff and highly qualified shooting instructors. Just off the A65 between Skipton and Kendal, “The Coniston Hotel” is the backdrop for this superb ground which has a selection of over 20 sporting layouts, along with covered Compak, DTL, and Skeet stands. Our covered ABT is available with Double Trap and Universal Trench. A selection of stands to challenge all abilities. The ground is CPSA Premier Plus ranked making it one of the best grounds in the UK. The outstanding log cabin clubhouse with it’s open fire, deep sofas and large dining area offers visitors somewhere warm and comfortable to eat, drink and relax whether you are shooting or a guest. With a superb cafe offering home cooked food and shoppings dedicated to guns and accessories, what more could you want.

Booked this for me and my brothers as part of a fun filled camping weekend and this experience just made it extra special. We loved every second! Such an incredible feeling and new to us all! Neither of us had shot a gun before and we was all a tad nervous to say the least, but the instructor made us feel comfortable within seconds of introducing himself. He was very progressional and down to earth friendly. The whole experience was amazing! I can’t recommend it enough. We have vowed that we will return every year.
