The oldest museum collection of primarily Moravian Czech immigrant artifacts in Texas. A small museum highlighting the stories of Czech peoples throughout history. Fresh kolaches and fixed-menu lunch (changes daily) are served daily when the Museum is open. Some resources and help available for genealogy work or we can refer you to the Texas Czech Genealogy Society for expert advice. Library also includes information on the Wends, Slovaks, Bohemians and Texas German immigrants.
Very interesting small museum, even for folks without Czech heritage. A lot of WW II history that we had no idea that the Czech population in Europe was co deeply involved. A Czech retired gentleman happened to be there for lunch in the adjacent bakery/cafe and he served as our guide thru the museum and history. Great 2 hour stop.
