During our COVID 19 lockdown and other alerts, we were looking for a place with space and for my kids to run around and have fun. A friend mentioned Milne Dam Conservation Park as a place we can go and have some fun without worrying about crowds. I had been to this park before, and it just slipped my mind about it. I packed up the kids, got some pizza from Little Ceasars, and went there for a picnic. The park is huge and although we were intimidated by all the cars being there, we were surprised to find how spacious the park was. Despite the fact that there were many people there, there was so much room for us to be safe and be physically distanced from other people. We found a few empty picnic tables by the water and had a nice lunch under a tree with lots of shade. It was a warm early fall day and the trees had yet to start turning colour. Once we finished our picnic we spent the rest of our visit exploring the park. There are trails and marked paths all over the park and in the woods as well. We explored all afternoon and had a great time. We needed to burn all those calories after a pizza lunch. The park itself is very clean, well maintained, and for the most part, the restrooms were clean as well. There is a fee to enter the park which only cost us around four dollars. There are a few different parking lots and parking is available and since cars are coming and going, we were able to easily find a parking spot within minutes of arriving. The overall experience was amazing and the kids had a great time. I highly recommend this park.
