I stayed in the campground for a month and it was great. Good place for crabbing. Nice folks running the place.

The property covers such a diverse landscape and the trail is so well placed, you'll be thrilled at each change in landscape and water as you hike along. Be sure to pick up a trail map at the visitor center and plan your walk. If you don't want to do the entire loop, do the Sloughside Trail - walk to the point and enjoy the beautiful water viewpoints and on the way back, the trail becomes a boardwalk over Hidden Creek Marsh. So stunning is this piece of nature.

When we arrived I liked the brown sand. However, I saw lots of activities. There were lots of birds on the beach. Some were enjoying the river. Others liked the beach. I had never seen so many birds on a beach. The river went into the ocean. However, the dunes were attractive as well!
