You can hike up the West peak from the Piedras Pintas beach. This hike gives you a mroe unobstructed view of the ocean and La Manga beach. Hike up the east side from the obvious Kiosk and this gives you a better view of San Carlos, Guaymas, and still amazing ocean views. This is the more popular of the two hikes. But whatever you do, do NOT miss this amazing vista if you're int he San Carlos area!!

In beautiful San Carlos, Mexico, Gary's Dive Shop, established in October of 1971, was the first 100% legal, federally certificated and licensed maritime operator in San Carlos. Our twenty-nine person staff is very experienced with an average of over 12 years each with us. We have diving, fishing, snorkeling and ocean/nature tours, as well as bay and sunset cruises, dive instruction, rental and repair services. We are open every day, 365 days a year from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Gary's Dive Shop is the first and only boat operator in San Carlos and the entire state of Sonora to be certified NOM-05 and NOM-08 and to receive the coveted Federal recognition award "Distintivo M" and the state recognition award "Calidad Sonora" for safety and excellence in costumer service.

We wanted to hike and see something of the countryside here - where desert meets the sea. Being on The San Andreas fault the rock formations are incredible. So pleased we went to Enrike’s Adventures (which I think may be called St Carlos Adventures now) . Such a lovely guy who is really passionate about the environment.. Very informative about the geology and flora and fauna of the area and the effect of the micro climate created by the canyon. This was the best day of our holiday - even though I was shaking like a leaf going up and down THE LADDER! I don’t like heights. The tranquility and connection with nature made it worthwhile....... You can climb, abseil and go on on a zip line in the canyon, too,if that’s your thing.

The desert meets the sea around here and it was good to come up to the mirador to get the bigger picture. We didn’t do anything other than park and look at the view but were so pleased we did! We had binoculars so spent some time looking out to sea.....little fishing boats as well as pleasure boats. There was food as well as souvenirs which we didn’t inspect.
