We spent four fantastic days skiing on the slopes above Are. There are a good range of slopes for all abilities and some superb blue runs at either end of the resort. Lift queues were minimal and a nice family atmosphere pervades the slopes. Although there are quite a lot of T bar lifts and the signposting sometimes makes it difficult to navigate your way around we didn't allow these negatives to spoil our enjoyment. There are a good number of restaurants/bars to chill and rest your legs. Lift passes and ski hire prices were very reasonable. During our stay (second week of March) we had some bluebird days and perfect snow gave us powder days and fantastic skiing conditions. Our previous skiing had only been in the Alps, but we left feeling you can't beat skiing in Scandinavia and hope to return again next year.
