A beautifully decorated, historic former girls’ school, Wakefield Scearce is filled with English antiques. At Christmas, each of the many rooms is decorated with a different theme. There is a good restaurant there as well.

Jeptha Creed is crafting the next generation of high-end heritage distilled spirits and foods. Now Open! Tours are $10 per person.
Our favorite part was the fabulous guide to world of bourbon - Tom. He led our barrel tasting and was so personable and hit all the right notes in terms of history, current status of the bourbon industry and of course, guidance as we tasted the wonderful Jeptha Creed bourbon right out of the barrel.

My husband and I stopped in and took the tour during a recent road trip. Staff and tour guide were very friendly. Although I am not a bourbon drinker, I did enjoying trying the different varieties. Definitely worth a stop if you like you bourbons.

We enjoyed our visit to Talon after visiting Jeptha Creed (Gordon Drive in Shelbyville is a good street for alcohol). They have some of the best wines in Kentucky, including strawberry moscato, afterglow and Mango Sugar Lips Wine. Facility was very clean and staff was friendly. Definitely worth a stop off of I-64.
