Anacapri is a comune on the island of Capri, in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Italy. The Ancient Greek prefix ana- means "up" or "above", signifying that Anacapri is located at a higher elevation on the island than Capri (about 150 m higher on average). Administratively, it has a separate status from the city of Capri. The most significant site in the village is the Villa San Michele.

Workshop The authentic ceramics of Capri Island.
After recently visiting Capri and choosing our purchase we are absolutely delighted when it arrived safe and sound today in our Manchester home, it’s beautiful. Ceramiche Tavassi apart from being a talented bunch couldn’t have been more helpful arranging and overseeing the shipping back to the UK. Many many thanks and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Hope to visit the wonderful Amalfi coast very soon. Jamie & Michelle

Church from the 17th century with its notable San Michele statue and splendid antique ceramic floor.
This 18th century Baroque church has an amazing majolica floor mosaic depicting the original sin and paradise filled with animals and dating to 1761. An incredible monument to see.
