Flinty’s Boardwalk & Hiking Trail

Reviewed By BenLar137 - Calgary, Canada

This is a delightful attraction! If you walk the whole loop around Ross Lake, it's around 5 km's, and there is some elevation on the west side, about 150 m's. You get excellent views all the way around, but the best are from the west side, especially the viewing platform, where get to see the mine site. A must-do if you're in the area! For people with physical challenges, or if you're pushing a stroller, the stairs might be an obstacle. If you want to get to the viewing platform in that circumstance, try starting from town on the west side.

Flintabbaty Flonatin Statue

Decided to take a day trip into Flin Flon as it's the first time I've been up there. After reading up on the history of how the town was founded after a copy of the novel "The Sunless City" was discovered by John Creighton, and was named after the fictional explorer Josiah Flintabbatey Flonitin, I had to check out the statue for myself. Pretty cool, lots of history behind it.
