5 Shopping in Place des Arts That You Shouldn't Miss

November 8, 2021 Terina Blouin

Montreal, c’est si bon! This French-speaking city is considered the cultural capital of Canada, and is a cosmopolitan celebration of Québécois style. A horse-drawn carriage ride around the cobblestone streets and grand buildings of Vieux-Montréal will give you a taste of European flavor. The Basilique Notre-Dame is a confection of stained glass, and the Plateau Mont-Royal district will delight you with its quaint boutiques and cafés. Dig in to a massive plate of poutine to fuel up for a tour of the epic Olympic Park.

My friends and I recently stopped here for cheese and meats while traveling in Montreal. The man who was helping us spent time giving us samples, understanding what we liked, and giving us the history behind everything we tried. Not to mention everything he suggested was amazing! This was by far the best customer service (and food) we had on our trip! Big shout out to the person who helped us (we are sorry we didn't get your name).

Complexe Desjardins

Absolutely a must see stop when visiting Montreal Downtown! Its a great location central to many hotels from a 5 -20 min walk! IGA grocery is there with meals prepared or whatever you want if you are in a housekeeping unit! SAQ liquor store if interested! Many clothing stores including, Marie Claire, La Vie enRose, Bikini Village, R&W, shoe stores and really nice organized Winners! Good variety in the Food Court choices! In the central area is a nice seating area always seasonally decorated. Great for the nonshopper while waiting to sit, relax and people watch for hours! Fountains with relaxing music ! Sometimes symphony bands or choirs performing too!
