Every time we travel through the central coast, Hubs and I stop at this charming little bookstore. It is all used books at extremely competitive prices. A wonderful selection with an extremely helpful young woman behind the counter. Light and airy - not a dark, dusty, claustrophobic store like some we've been to. We purchased THREE large bags of books! Well worth a special trip. Go there!!

Wine Bar and Wine Shop, with an excellent collection of hard-to-find wines, especially local small producers who have no other tasting room or distribution. (The best local wines you've never tasted!) Also, Home of Vinthesis, the bext generation of wine blending.
Grape Encounters is the brainchild of Dave and Annie Wilson. Dave has a extremely popular radio show by the same name that is carried by over 100 stations nationally. He and Annie have an amazing selection of CEntral Coast wines that you would have difficulty finding on your own. My wife and I both appreciate big, bold reds, and we had a chance to taste zinfandels, ruby cabernet, syrahs and a lovely GSM. They also carry Some Napa/Sonoma wines, as well as others from France and Italy. Very friendly hosts, no wine snobs here, they will absolutely help you find wine that you will want to take home! Also an amazing selection of wine accessories, bottle stoppers, wine preservation kits, all sorts of fun and different gifts for those who enjoy wine. Available cheeses, tasty crackers, locally produced olive oils and vinegars. Indoor and outdoor patio seating is available and live music on some evenings. An excellent stop in Atascadero that is out of the busier, more crowded Paso Robles wine scene. Check it out, you WILL be delighted !!
