Situated in Plymouth on the coast ' The Hoe' is a must see and do. I would suggest if driving park near the Barbican end and you can walk right around and past the light house. Or even better walk up past the war memorial from the city centre and you have plenty of time to take it all in. Amazing views out to the ocean , you can see the famous Drakes island - Plymouth Hoe is also the famous site where Francis Drake defeated the Spanish Armarda whilst enjoying a game of boules. There is a statue of him here. The war memorial is a wonderful way to pay respect to fallen soldiers, and us kept nice and clean by the local authorities. Go grab an ice cream from one of many ice cream vans and relax. You can find some great fish and chips along the road, and also a beer or 3 in the local taverns . There is the famous Mayflower steps , just so much history here. Travel tip- if you go in the summer months there is the famous Tinside swimming pool which you can use for a small fee, with changing rooms, lifeguards and a cafe on site. A Great day out for everyone in summer or winter. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
