We've done a few escape rooms in our time and Escape Room Barrie figures high on our list of the best. The hosts are very good and the facilities are nicely created and are stimulating. Communication with the host during the gamne is top notch and we are led to avoid frustration if that is our desire. Parking is plentiful and free.

Zenith Escape Rooms delivers highly engaging, socially responsible, escape room experiences. Working together, teams must race against the clock to find clues, solve puzzles (lingual, visual, spatial, physical, and lateral), and overcome challenges to escape themed adventures. My wife and I successfully completed “Grandma’s Attic” over the Thanksgiving weekend with the help of our daughter (17) and son (15). We finished with less than ten minutes to spare. “Grandma’s Attic” is a 60-minute, adult-oriented challenge with a horror theme, and it can accommodate between four and eight players. We had a great time escaping and only required two clues. Awesome! Escaping an adventure before time runs out is very, very satisfying! The puzzles in “Grandma’s Attic” are logically organized and cleverly conceived. No climbing is involved, but gameplay is dimly lit, and some areas feature flashing/strobing lights. The adventure is most certainly designed to be scary and is not recommended for people who are afraid of the dark. Look for Zenith Escape Rooms at 431 Bayview Drive in the Ontario municipality of Barrie. Due to the pandemic, players must always wear a mask. Visit the Web site to book a private adventure. Admission for “Grandma’s Attic” is $25 (excluding tax) and requires a minimum of four players. Be sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled game time so you have time to settle in and get into the right frame of mind before embarking on your quest. Note that participants under 18 need a waiver signed by a parent. “Grandma’s Attic” is an intermediate-level adventure with a 22% success rate. Remember to work as a team. You get as many hints as you need, so do not be afraid to ask your friendly and knowledgeable host for help should you find yourself stuck on a puzzle and unable to progress. Parking is free on site.
