Located in the town centre of Amasra, Karya Butik Pansiyon is only a 2-minute walk from Kucuk Liman and Buyuk Liman beaches. The pension offers air-conditioned rooms with modern amenities and free Wi-Fi. Featuring parquet floors, the rooms of Karya are elegantly decorated in earthy tones. Each room includes a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a minibar, and an electric kettle. They also have a bathroom with 24-hour hot water. Open buffet breakfast is available upon request, at another location 50 metres from the pension. There are also many restaurants within walking distance, including fish restaurants at the seaside. Bozkoy Beach is 15 km from the pension. The old Ottoman houses of Safranbolu are 90 km away. Zonguldak Airport is within 50 km.
I was travelling alone, stayed in Karya Butik Pensione for one night. The location is in a crowded street (the wood maker's marked) and the windows look out to nowhere. There are many more charming places to stay in Amasra, avoid this one. The rooms at TINY the bathroom as well, but clean. The entrance is easy to miss, in the middle of shops. An extremely narrow staircase leads upto three room, one on each floor. There is no common area, no reception. No one to ask for information. If you are not Turkish, don't stay here. The lady who runs it demanded I pay within five minutes of meeting her and I did. It was definitely overpriced at 120 TL with no breakfast. What was disappointing is that she insisted I check out the next day by 11:00 am claiming that she has "guests" coming (on a Sunday?) . My bus was at 17:30. I asked if I could leave my back pack somewhere with her, and she refused, saying that she wouldn't take responsibility for it. I had to get a Turkish friend to call her and talk to her as she spoke no English. I was instructed to leave the keys on the door and leave, with my back pack. Avoid this place--its cramped, over priced and the owner is extremely unhelpful.

Denizer pension has been put into service in 2010 and it is a historical registered building with preservation purposes. Our rooms have been designed in accordance with the historical texture
We stayed one night at Denizer Pansyon and found it fairly easily in the small town. The room was clean and had a good harbour view from window. Close to water, sights and restaurants. Hard to contact manager as they are not on-site so check-out was delayed. Rooms are very small and two people find it hard to move about and use bathroom. Windows do not work correctly and the area is very noisy late at night. Barking dogs and dozens of cats, all uncontrolled are also a fact of life in the area. Amasra is a pretty picture to look at but definitely falls short as a holiday location.
