If you’re looking for some fun, adventure and a great exercise then Dr J’s is the perfect place for you. Our tour guide, Scott, was very familiar with everything in the area and had some great recommendations for restaurants, wine tasting, etc.. Will definitely be back, thanks again for the great experience!

My wife and I decided to try something new on a bike. We typically rent cruisers and multispeed bikes and tour the local area. This time we tried the electric Bikes at Wheel Fun Rentals. Matt was a great assistant who gave us an overview of the 4 hour self-guided tour, fitted us with the bikes, helmets, bike travel bag (spare tubes, pump and items needed should you get a flat). He provided a map with a beautiful round-trip excursion pointing out the key spots that takes you through Solvang, up to Los Olivos and then back to Solvang. You pass several wineries, miniature horse ranch, lavender farm and a spectacular ending cruising up and then down Ballard Canyon Road where you see the rolling hills of vineyards, horse and cattle ranches. You can stop and sample the wines along the way, especially in Los Olivos which has many to choose from. The Electric Bikes are a must on this trip if you are a novice rider, the hills would be challenging with just a multi-speed bike. The electric assist was great getting us up the hills. Give it a try if you are in Solvang.
