Went out with a couple of friends to give driving a go. First we did two laps with the instructor Chris driving. I was like oh god this is going to be impossible. Then it was my turn to drive Chris was giving instructions as I was driving and it made things very easy. You get to drive a V8 super car and get to do it fast and learn how to drive and corner correctly. Definitely recommend doing this I will be going back again.

Two great choices of outrageous fun on 3 wheels: -Wind powered blokart (land yachts) and Electric Driftkarts. We have two purpose built tracks in Christchurch where you can hire a kart and have some fun with family, friends and colleagues. Blokarts are an amazingly inclusive activity for all ages (8 to 80+) and abilities. We have 2 person karts for those who aren't quite able to go it alone or prefer to share the experience. Being powered by nature ticks the sustainability box for guilt free fun. Grab a group of 6-12 people and try our our unique Human Foosball, the only one of it's kind in Christchurch. Just like the table game except you are the players. Hilarious fun and as competitive as you want this complements our energy efficient activities, harnessing Human Power. Fun for all, individuals and groups.
Excellent outfit; very attentive, understanding (when the conditions during the holidays weren't up to scratch for the karts to really go - winds too light - they were more than happy to rebook the time for another day when there was more action free, which was great!). My 3 younger kids had an absolute blast, and loved it (second time around when there was enough wind to go properly!). I would highly recommend this to anyone - I consider it really good value for money. Really friendly and helpful staff; really good equipment and set up. Definitely going again!

This was our favorite part of our Christchurch visit. We took the city bus to the car park beside the gondola where the hike starts. It's a short steep climb up the summit where you'll be rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view of Lyttelton town + Harbour and all the surrounding mountains. It took us about 2 hour to get to the observation area. There are various other paths to explore, we opted for the Tors Trail (453 m). We liked the fact we could take a different path down. Ended up in the town of Lyttelton where you will find a super seafood restaurant beside the bus stop.

The Great Journeys of New Zealand provide a window to the most spectacular scenery in New Zealand. With three long distance train services and three ferries that span the country, there is no better way to experience the best New Zealand has to offer. All services feature state of the art carriages with large reclined seats, panoramic windows, GPS triggered at-seat commentary, a fully licensed cafe, and open air viewing decks. The Northern Explorer is our Auckland to Wellington train, the Coastal Pacific is travels from Christchurch to Picton, and the TranzAlpine travels through the Southern Alps from Christchurch to Greymouth. Our three Interislander ferries connect out north and south islands in style. Each of our great journeys offers passengers unparallelled views of New Zealand's natural beauty, as well as providing superior transport for individual travellers, families and small groups.
We did the Christchurch to Arthurs Pass and back and highly recommend this option. We had an amazing time. At Arthurs Pass there are several hiking trails and a small town to explore. Train had an interpretive narration the way there and food options were plentiful and several different options. Everyone was friendly. Traveled in March.
