I went on a tour to the floating village from Siem Reap. It was truely an intresting experience, as i got to see how people can have such a different lifestyle from what we are used to. Everything is well organized and is actually pretty easy to get there (just hire a tuc tuc driver for a day) and then a tour is already planned for you! I even went on a boat cruise on a floating jungle, watched some monkeys and crocoodile, ate a whole-crocodile based meal and enjoyed the sunset on a boat on the lake! Really a delightful day!

Situated in leafy Tonle Bassac, the once sleepy residential lane has been developed into a wonderfully exciting drinking, dining and retail phenomenon attracting expats, local Khmer and tourists alike every day of the week. No trip to Phnom Penh is complete without at least one visit to the boutiques and one night enjoying the bars and restaurants of Bassac Lane. Seibur - aperitif room Cicada - classic cocktail bar The Library - daiquiri bar Meat & Drink - bar • grill • conservatory Trove - gifts & homewares Harry's - antique shop & martini bar Hangar 44 - custom motorbike showroom & bar Paperdoll - clothing & accessories Dollshouse - hair salon Masamune - eatery D.Wilkins - leather goods maker Enter Bassac Lane from street 308 which comes off Norodom Boulevard (Malis restaurant is on the corner). There is a paid parking site opposite Seibur where you can park your car, bicycle or motorbike, remember to get a ticket.
This area is small and is packed with bars and restaurants. The street should be pedestrianised as the mopeds fly through. A great selection of bars and restaurants

Absolutely loved it here, what a find! Shops and owners are all absolutely lovely, very helpful and not pushy at all. They let you browse and answer any questions. The street is quiet and lovely to wander around. Loved the street art on Coconut Alley. It is a little more pricey than other places in Siem Reap but your paying for the customer service and nice products. Only negative I would point out was that no one in our hotel or any tuk tuk drivers seemed to know where it was - we got dropped off on a random street but managed to find it from Google Maps and walk there.

Staying one night at the floating village was an exceptional experience. We didn't meet any other tourist there. Take a Bus direction Battambang (6-8$) and tell the driver to drop you at Krakor. A Tuktuk takes you to the lake (4$). There, we took a boat-tour for 13$ dollars, which was totally worth it! We got around the whole village and it was just gorgeous! The driver dropped us at a homestay (4$ each) and we spent a quiet afternoon there, including a stunning sunset! We could choose from several meals for dinner (5000 riehl - 3$). The next morning a boat full of vegetable and fruits stopped at the house where we could by some bread and fruits for breakfast. The taxi-boat back to mainland costs 5$. If you don't want to spent 13$ for the boattrip, order a taxi boat (but you will only see little of the village). Over all, one of the best experiences in Cambodia. We could take lovely pictures as well.

Andong Rossey is a village halfway between Phnom Penh and Battambang if you travel in these two tourists attraction town. if you travel from Phnom Penh to Battambang about just only 2:30 hours on your left-hand side off by paved between old stadium and city hall just hading straight hill then left about 1km you see nay house stand scale and every house with pottery. they work from 7:ooAM to 10:40 am then start at 14:00. if you take the bus you going to miss these unique places, best take your private car to do a day trip is best, stop these two ciies, Odoung, Pottery place, Kampong Loung floating villages on Tonle sap Lake and pottery to your destinations. I do recommend a day trip.
