We were tired of being indoors at our daughter's house so we went to the Campus of Wellesley College and discovered this beautiful Lake (Waban) There is a path that goes around it - perhaps a half hour to 45 minute walk depencding on your pace. Peaceful and very scenic.

Mass Hort’s 36-acre hands-on Gardens at Elm Bank offers adults and children the opportunity to experience, enjoy and learn about plants and the environment. The site includes various garden spaces from the historic Italianate Garden to the educational New England Trial Garden to the whimsical Weezie’s Garden for Children. Several plant societies and garden clubs have also installed permanent demonstration and display gardens at the Gardens at Elm Bank.
The gardens are maintained by the Mass Horticultural Society providing a beautiful venue for a walk through well-tended gardens. The campus it a great spot for a wedding! The Festival of Trees in the time leading up to Christmas offer fun for the family with wagonrides and the opportunity to win one of the cleverly decorated trees for your home. Great for the whole family or for a quiet stroll alone. Hidden gem!

Winding gently through a mile or two of beautiful suburban Wellesley, this is the dog-lovers' path of choice. This is a great walking track in all four seasons. Check out the alewife (fish) which appear around 2nd week of April and struggle to jump and splash their way upstream. Beavers have invaded the pond area near the high school track. Occasionally you can see large snapping turtles along the Fuller Brook and in the pond.
