It's quite difficult to find a decent hiking trail with a little one, he's only 2.5 years old so he gets tired after a little bit of walking. We stayed in Lake George, but it's only about a 15 minutes drive up to Warrensburg, there's plenty of parking near the welcome house. We did get lost at first, but if you walk around you will find a "Nature Trail" green painted arrow, you can follow it to the map. It's a little tricky to find it at first but just keep looking for the signs! It's a magical walking trail that's a little under a mile, it took about 45 minutes since we stopped to take photos and admire the trees. It felt like I was in Jurassic Park! Totally safe, flat and very well taken care of grounds. Definitely visit with elderly and or young children!

You'll climb about 600 feet over a 3/4 mile hike but the view will be well worth your effort. It''s a demanding climb so you should be in reasonable physical condition to attempt it. It's only about 3/4 of a mile up and that much back downhill. Watch your trail markers.
