very peaceful place to visit.so many pelicans were there.could sit there for ages people are friendly there too

Set back from the Murray, the Waikerie Water Nature Playground is a well-designed activity based playground. Offering many activities from the traditional swings, climbing frames and balancing equipment to updated equipment like the impression board and the water feature that can be dammed and observing the qualities of the nearby river. The grounds are superbly maintained. Seating is throughout the playground enabling parents to keep an eye on the children. Outside gym equipment is also included to make the area family orientated. Parking is adjacent to the playground with the speed limit very low. Dogs are prohibited in the area. The area fuses with the riverbank development which includes the toilet facilities and also many BBQ areas and seating. The views from the banks are superb. Waikerie Holiday Park is nearby. Return? Yes definitely and especially to the river bank area.

Hart Lagoon is a wetland of significance and interest, situated adjacent to the Waikerie river front and holiday park. The habitat provides for native flora and fauna and is great for birdwatching. Visitors to Hart Lagoon can take a drive along the Murray River or alternatively, there is a walking track which loops around the lagoon and visitors are welcome to camp along the river.
