A beautiful park and gardens. Great for a picnic or a stroll! There is a playground off the side of the park which is fenced in. Bring a picnic, a blanket and a book to spend an afternoon here relaxing!

My girlfriend Sherrie and I toured the mica mine and were impressed by the tour guides information and presentation . It was a gorgeous early August day, later we went swimming on a small beach in the park. I highly recommend visiting this park, which is an easy drive from both Kingston and Ottawa .

I've been a couple of times to the Perth Wildlife Reserve, both times for bird watching in the Spring. I thoroughly enjoyed the hike through fields, forest, along the river, over rocks, up and down. We did see a lot of birds traveling through, as well as turtles, snakes and two otters. It may not be for the very young, but maybe starting 5-years and up would enjoy the scenery and discoveries. Make sure to wear good walking shoes and have some water and some snacks with you to addt o the enjoyment. It is a cared for treasure in our Perth backyard. There is ample parking.

I was in the area for business, and was looking for something to do to keep active and learn a bit more about the area. So I found Heritage Bikes and rentals and was treated to a tour around Perth by Peter, one of the owners of the shop. The bike that they set me up with was comfortable and well-tuned. Peter was an incredible tour guide, stopping more often than he perhaps normally would have to answer my questions about the cycling infrastructure and the history of Perth. He was a wealth of knowledge about the community, and it was a really enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. To make things even better, at the end of my ride with Peter I had an espresso, and it was exceptional! I would strongly recommend making Heritage Bikes your first stop when you get into Perth - the local knowledge you'll glean from its fantastic owners will make your time in the area much more enjoyable!
