Located just south of New York City, this beach is known for good swimming and surfing.
I've been going to Manasquan Beach since I was ten and am going again tomorrow, forty one years later, because it's a nice quiet family beach where I can nap on the sand, read a book, and enjoy the sound of the waves.

If you have a dog and live in the area or within 30 minutes this is a great place. The beach is fun and full of dogs swimming and playing and you watch the boats go by at the inlet. Parking on weekends may be tough but even walking to the beach and inlet a few blocks is great.
