Hayling Billy Trail

We hired bikes from our hotel on Sinah Beach and were given a map to follow. It's easy to find the start of the Billy Trail in West Town and we had an absolutely lovely cycle ride along the trail which hugs the west coast of the island right up to the top where you can see the remains of the railway bridge which used to come across from the mainland. The weather was good which was a plus. There are plenty of areas to stop off and admire all the lovely views. We then cycled across the bridge and explored the local area, stopping for a drink at a local pub. Then back down the Billy Trail to the hotel. A great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

This natural harbour is a haven for birdlife as well as being a place to watch activities on the water. If you wish, you can just sit and watch the world go by. pick a fine day and bring your binoculars, there's always something to see.

Eastoke Corner Beach

Reviewed By ShaunL - Clanfield, United Kingdom

Lovely walk this morning from the Nab car park right around Sandy Point to the sailing club and back again. An easy going walk past the nature reserve with the tide on its way out on a warmish day with only a few on the beach. Plenty of young sailors on the water too - perhaps a competition. So peaceful and a nice way to stretch the legs. For those that believe that Hayling is all pebbles there is a clue in the title of Sandy Point, loads of sand towards the sailing club. But no parking hence the need to park somewhere like Nab car park and then walk.
