Our Society is a non-profit organisation run mostly by volunteers dedicated to the collection and preservation of Goldfields history. Each year, members share this history by helping hundreds of visitors and researchers learn about the region and the people who built it.

Volunteers who run this show are minig buffs and prospectors and know their mining information and history inside out and back the front. Thank you for forwarding the old maps.

We enjoyed this museum very much as it contained the entries in the Nature photographer of the year. These were amazing. It also contains a lot of the history of gold mining in the area. You are able to take a lift to a viewing platform, which looks across the Superpit and town. It also has a vault you can enter where millions of dollars worth of gold is housed. The original British Arms Hotel is also on site and has some rooms decked out in keeping with that era. An optional donation is requested

Visited the Boulder Town Hall to visit the War Museum and was blown away by the history and content of the museum. The staff there were very helpful and assisted us in tracking down our family that was featured in the museum, they even gave us copies of all the information that had on hand. Well worth a visit if you are visiting Kalgoorlie/Boulder.

Golden Mile Loopline Railway Society

We are the Loopline Railway Museum and Information Centre. We have historic mining and rail displays of various items from the early days in the Goldfields. Our displays have been kindly donated by local community members or are on loan from the Eastern Goldfields Historical Society. Come down and visit us at our Boulder City Station, which once was part of one of the busiest railway networks in Australia, explore through our Museum and enjoy our collection. Sit back and enjoy a relaxing massage in our massage chair while you watch our videos playing in our media room. Take photos with the Darlek on display which is on loan to us by a local artist. Visit our old miners huts that are currently surrounded by beautiful flowers. Finish your Loopline experience with some souvenirs from our gift shop, and why not make it memorable with some rail art. Our rail art is made by our volunteers using Loopline dog spikes that are over 100 years old and rail clips.
