The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art collection focuses on contemporary works from 1945 to the present. The location alone makes this worth the trip (about 30- 40 minutes from central Copenhagen). The restaurant has a great buffet option which was delicious but very expensive. Great exhibitions, a lively children’s centre with different activities and beautiful gardens to walk through. We visited this museum after visiting Kronborg Castle and it was very easy (train to Kronborg then a local bus to the museum and finally train back to Copenhagen) all included with the Copenhagen card - well worth the money.

Nivaagaards Malerisamling / PAINTINGS are classic and poetic .. Wonderful garden and outside CAFE with delicate surprises. The villa luxus atmosphere is poetic. Even the sea is close, where you look to Sweden over Øresund. I am danish and know this place is wonderful.. take a romantic culture trip to Nivaa.

Danmarks eneste tilbageværende cirkulære ringovn, der blev taget i brug i 1870 og brændte mursten i 97 ar - indtil 1967. Der er kun meget fa andre af typen i udlandet - tre i Tyskland og en i Japan - har vi fundet. Da den blev opfundet i Tyskland i 1859 var den revolutionerende for teglværksdriften verden over og metoden blev anendt i Danmakr til langt op i 1960'erne, hvor den i dag er erstatte af en sakaldt tunnelovn. Vi formidler ogsa historien - den lokale fra Nivas første teglvæk i 1701 savel som den nationale, hvor Danmark under industrialisereingen radede over ca. 1.000 teglværker af meget varierende størrelse. Pa vores abningssøndage har vi tillige den gamle kulfyrede smedje bemandet.
