Jazz Club of Igor Butman

Igor Butman Jazz Club is a legendary jazz venue and a landmark of Russian jazz history. For more than 20 years Igor Butman Club has been a place where the new history of Russian jazz is born and jazz life is in the full swing. Launched by Igor Butman in 1999, the Butman Club (known then as Le Club) became a genuine window to the international jazz world for Russian jazz lovers, and it’s not an exaggeration. Most of the biggest names in the history of jazz made their first gigs in Russia at our club. Starting its long, bright and eventful history with concert series by such jazz greats as Ray Brown, Jimmy Smith, Elvin Jones, McCoy Tyner, Joe Zawinul, Roy Hargrove, Ron Carter, Billy Cobham, the club has continued it with presenting shows by Medeski, Martin & Wood, Robert Glasper, Chris Potter, Christian McBride, Avishai Cohen, Dave Grusin and Lee Ritenour (to name a few) in the recent few years.
