For me, my stay in Bardia was the best part of my trip. And all thanks to Bardia homestay! I was planning on staying only for 7 nights, but I stayed for 12. Sonja and Budhi are really nice people and help you with everything you need. You can organize trips from the homestay in the jungle, like jungle walks or jeep safari's. The guides are really friendly, and it's super easy to do these trips. I went into the jungle seven times, five times on a walking safari, and 2 times on a jeep safari. I've seen five tigers in total, which was one of the most amazing moments of my life. Seeing a wild tiger was a dream come true for me. I also saw more than rhino's, a herd of elephants, hornbills, monkeys and much more! For animal lovers, like me, this place is heaven. My guide, Bale, was a super nice guy, and a great guide! Every time we saw an animal, he was super enthusiastic. And he knew I wanted to spot the hornbills specific, so he helped me find them! I enjoyed every second of my stay, and will definitely come back one day. I can highly recommend this place to everyone!

We stayed in Baba’s resort after a friend of mine recomended me the place. Room was cheap and perfect for a 3 nights stay, Baba is really nice and makes you feel at home. We had the chance to go for a walking safari, one of the best experiences ever! Thank you again Baba and your family, Armelle and Antoine

Wild Trak Lodge, situated adjacent to Barda National Park, is a place where you can relax and refuel from your jungle and trekking adventures. Due to the close vicinity of the park to the lodge it is possible to see tigers, elephants and rhino right from the grounds. It has been designed with inspiration from local Tharu construction and the rooms are luxuriously large with thick comfortable mattresses on the beds and large bathrooms with hot water. The rooms surround a large wildlife pond which brings the wildlife into you while you relaxing at the lodge.
I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights, including a 1 day walking tour in the jungle, and it was an unforgettable stay. Let me start with the day in the jungle: Johnny, the wildlife obsessed expat from Yorkshire; and Deep, a fearless Nepali jungle guide; are not cut from the ordinary jungle cloth. Going on a tour with them is actually a challenge, to keep up! It felt like I was going out with two guys who would have been there anyway, rather than just mooching around a park with the vague hope of seeing game. No. We walked a total of 20km through some tough terrain, and our reward? Seeing a male elephant go about his business, momentarily being charged by 2 adult rhinos, and then witnessing an adult tiger from 5m away. All of this ON FOOT! It was pure adrenaline. Everybody else in the park who heard about our endeavours were understandably envious. Back at the lodge, Tina and her son Tolly were ready to hear all about our day over a dinner over the fire. It was close to a perfect day. Onto the lodge, and the facilities were very good indeed. Tina is a fantastic host

A wonderful hotel with great people. The hotel is right next to the National Park and in a quiet neighborhood. Staff is kind, helpful and knowledgeable about wildlife. They were easily able to set us up on Jeep Safari, multiple jungle walks and tell us about the cultural offerings of Bardiya. We even saw a tiger on our jungle walk! Rooms are clean, hot water is available, and the food is great! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip.
