More than a luxury boutique hotel & Spa,Banksia Boutique is a lifestyle showroom housed in a grand Victorian mansion. This eight room hotel showcases the very best in corporate and leisure accommodation in the leafy Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. The hotel's luxurious suites are individually designed and boast beautiful fully equipped en-suite bathrooms. Banksia Boutique offers two conference rooms, providing a stylish, intimate and highly individual corporate experience. The hotels spacious interiors offer an ideal location for product launches and small corporate functions, including private dining and intimate cocktail evenings. Also, we are very excited to announce the opening of our new day spa - consisting of three beautifully appointed treatment rooms, Rasul Chamber and Steam Room. Banksia Boutique has been awarded a Four Star Grading. The hotel was also awarded second place/highly commended in the AA Accommodation Awards for Best Boutique Hotel in the country 2009, 2010 & 2011. We are also a Decorex Designer Hotel.
A lovely boutique hotel with unique rooms - each with their own style. The service from Razia, Joy and others was exceptional - nothing was too much trouble! Excellent spa services and convenience. Loved the lounge, boardrooms and honesty bar. Only some rooms have aircon and others get strong afternoon sun. Loved the pool but being indoors it's cooler.

A Gem is born… Elegance, style and class will define this fully renovated Boutique Hotel. This Victorian Mansion, was built in 1901. It is located in a quiet and leafy area, and has been fully renovated in September 2020. The Hotel reflects the perfect balance between the charm of the “Heritage” and the comfort and luxury of the “Modern”. The 7 bedrooms are dispatched on 3 levels. Each one has its own character. They are named and decorated after a gemstone color. You will have the choice between a Twin or a Double Bedroom, a Family Suite or even a Loft. An exquisite breakfast will be served in the sunny veranda or in the lush garden. A light lunch option is also available for the ones who want to stay and enjoy the pool or rest in the garden. Carmichael House Boutique Hotel is ideally situated, being only 8 minutes away from the city centre, or 15 min from the airport (outside peak hours). Main touristic attractions are just around the corner, like Kirstenbosch Garden, Table Mountain or the Rhodes Memorial, Yves & Valerie will be delighted to welcome you in their home.
Carmichael House is centrally located, with easy access to many of the vibrant Cape Town neighbourhoods. The choice of good places to eat at, within a 5km radius, is staggering. As for the guesthouse itself, expect the best service from Yves, Valerie, Yvonne, and the rest of the staff - who cater to your every need while remaining unobtrusive. The breakfast is amazing, and the WiFi is lightning fast. I will definitely be back when staying in Cape Town in future.

Terribly disappointing experience. The reception is dis organised and seem to be disinterested. NO toilet paper in my room. Walked back down to reception to ask for more. There was no spare toilet paper. I had to wait for 2 hours. Website also indicated that there was a washing machine in each apartment. This was not present. Couch was peeling and falling apart. No air conditioner within the apartment. Dirty mop stored behind the bedroom door and the main bedroom smells of mold. The website indicates that there is room service and when I inquired with reception, the had no idea what I was requesting. Overall extremely disappointing for the amount of money the stay cost.
