Disappointing
Reviewed By Sue LThe hotel was not quite what we expected. It was my husbands birthday and I booked the romantic package, which included the room a bottle of sparking wine and breakfast. The public areas of the hotel were very nice and well cared for, but we were a bit disappointed to be shown a room at the back as this was supposed to be a superior room. The area outside and our little terrace was very overgrown and the seating left a lot to be desired. In fact we did not use this area. It reminded me of poorly run motel not a 4* hotel. I spoke to the receptionist when booking and did inform her that it was a special occasion, so a room overlooking the pool with pretty gardens would have been better. The foot tray that you walk through to get to the pool was so slippery that I slipped and as a result dislocated my collar bone,( I could not drive or lift my arm for months). we informed the reception team and they said there should have been a mat in the tray? No apology.Some people would have taken them to court. The meal was nice but my husband was still hungry as it was very Nouveau cuisine. The morning we left the receptionist tried to charge us for the breakfast, I informed her it was included in the package, she insisted it was not but I asked her to go into the hotels website and see the offer, she reluctantly did this. Not good training!!! Overall it could be a really good hotel and probably was at some point but we would not return.

The 4* hotel of Saint Malo Golf Resort is located in a 18th century manor house atmosphere with beams and stone walls. It is situated overlooking the lake and the course, in an old priory with a 27 hole golf course. Many activities for families are available around (aquarium, zoo, amusement park..). The recently renovated rooms are spacious (30m2) with terrace or balcony, many with mezzanine ideally suited for families accommodating up to 4 people. The restaurant of the hotel welcomes the guests for dinner and lunch with its splendid view overlooking the golf.

Reviewed By Arthus102This location merits a good week. It is close to many sites to visit, St Malo, Dinard, Cancale, Dinan, etc. you need a car. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathroom is excellent. The setting is beautiful in a golf course. If you like golf, it adds as course is well maintained and offers 27 holes. It is a small hotel so it does not feel like a large resort with all services but more like a boutique resort where people will get to know you during your stay at reception and the restaurant, staff is extremely friendly and do their best to help you. It also offers a fitness room. Would definitely return here. Not a criticism but missing if you are demanding are: a spa, a tennis court (the only one nearby is in the next town but of poor quality and the next best choice is in St. Malo at 20min drive) and laundry service

The house we rented was only superficially clean, although our house was intended for 6 ppl, we only had 4 glasses and 4 coffee cups, there was cutlery missing. The double bed was in a very poor state. There was barely any decent cleaning equipment: an old broom which had been used a lot of times before, no vacuum cleaner available unless one booked one (and even so, these were small and inefficient), since the weather was on the cold side, we brought all sorts of dirt inside the house, and that made keeping the house clean a very difficult task. The walls of the house were very thing- our daughter couldnt sleep because she heard our neighbour;s TV or people going up and down the stairs. Although located in a very beautiful area, the quality of the house + services+ the low degree of cleanliness were a huge disappointment. The wi-fi connection was literally a joke: two devices couldnt connect simultaneously, and in the evenings you couldnt connect anyway, as the network was overloaded and nothing worked, regardless of the no of devices connected at one time. Very unprofessional.

Douche très dure à manipuler pour choisir le type de jet (identique dans les 2 chambre) à tel point qu’il est impossible de passer d’un type de jet à l’autre. Dégât des eaux au plafond de la douche ? Boite à mouchoir restée vide malgré notre demande. Ceci étant, chambre reste bien avec une belle vue sur l’étang. Apéritif pris au bar : qualité des amuses bouches à revoir. En effet les bouchées servies en plus des olives étaient sèches et sans réel goût particulier. Un bel axe de travail sur ce point. Repas : absolument parfait. Pour apprécier les talents du chef, le menu composé de la soupe, poisson et pain perdu( ?) semble idéal (selon les gouts de chacun…) En tout état de cause l’assiette avec le poisson est merveilleuse. Subtile, équilibrée, saveurs bien marquées et juxtaposées, …absolument parfait Service : aussi bien celui du dîner que celui du petit déjeuner = exactement ce qu’on peut chercher comme type de service : attentionné mais pas trop pesant, très poli etc etc…. C’est d’ailleurs une constante dans cet établissement : la politesse de tout le personnel, y compris des dames qui font le ménage. Félicitations Petit déjeuner : absolument très bien, très varié, frais, …un sans faute Appréciation globale = très bien malgré quelques petits points d’effort à la marge
