Only 6 months since our last visit but what a difference without all those pesky ( but necessary ) Covid restrictions and entry requirements. As soon as we arrived, we received the special Calabash warm welcome and that friendliness from everyone at Calabash never ceased from start to finish. As ever lovely to recognise so many staff who have been there many years. Our room. - de luxe suite was excellent , well equipped and positioned and kept so spotless by the lovely housekeeping team. We always love the cocktails and canapes , the start to a lovely evening and thanks to Michael , George, SherLyn , Morissa and team who always kept an eye out for when we returned from the gym, we had something to look forward to. The gym, incidentally, is one of the best equipped of the many gyms we have experienced throughout the world , spacious and very well equipped . The Rhodes Restaurant is still a great example of what a top restaurant should be. The ambience is special, the menu is excellent , especially with the daily specials (possibly something the Beach Club could also do for lunch ) and the service is very professional and yet lightly informal at the same time. A very strong professional team led by Michael and SherLyn with George who always seems to know what you want to drink before you do! We also liked Chef Nick circulating amongst guests as it is important to gain feedback - almost certainly mainly compliments! The Beach Club restaurant is equally good , the setting is great and again service is very good under the leadership of Desi Ann well supported by her excellent staff .. We love the beach bar which is still such a lovely hub, especially after an energetic game of shuffleboard! Thanks to Leslie Ann and the team for looking after us so well at the beach and the bar. A very professional team at reception , never ceasing to smile and always ready to help. Not forgetting the garden , maintenance , beach teams who were always smiling and keeping the grounds and resort in excellent condition. Yoga was excellent and the food classes were fun and informative. Scubatech continue to provide some great dives and snorkelling together with the various watersports available. Even managed to fit in spa treatments which were very good thanks to Hanna and Cindy. We enjoyed the varied entertainment every evening and particularly the steel band who were excellent. For us what continues to make Calabash so enjoyable and one of the best hotels we stay at ( and why they win so many awards ) is the attention to detail and professionalism and friendliness of ALL the staff . We can't wait to see you all again before too long

A modern development of fully furnished poolside accommodations located in central Lance aux Epines, St. George’s next door Calabash Hotel. The property consists of studio, one, two and three-bedroom self-contained, self-catering apartments. All of the apartments provide a chic & stylish, complete home-from-home experience as well as en suite bathrooms, air conditioning & super high-speed Wi-Fi.
Please be aware. This establishment is run by crooks. I have been promised a FULL REFUND numerous times. Every time I call I hear a new excuse. I paid $365 for an apartment stay I never used because the rules for quarantine changed. I called and believed that my money would be refunded. Up to today Dec 2nd, this has not happened. How disgusting and sad that business owners are so devious and greedy for cash that they will deny a refund when it is clear an error has been made. But don't worry, I am making sure my bank in the U.S uses the full extent of banking powers to get my money back. Park View Apartments... you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves.

I booked these apartments through booking.com I received my confirmation and was ready to go Contacted the apartment on my day of arrival for check in details and they said there was no apartment available I said I had confirmation email They said that the only way I could stay was if I paid three times the amount plus taxes more than the deal offered on booking.com When I said I was an elderly solo traveller in a foreign country with nowhere else to stay and I would report this she laughed and said good luck with that Unbelievable that this deal is still on the website and someone else may have to go through this awful stressful situation I eventually have booked somewhere else at a much higher cost. I will never return here and never use booking.com who have not replied to my messages or requests for help Cannot even complain as they never reply

The website looks great and the hotel is amazing in design but it's still under construction. We were looking forward to quiet and relaxation but unfortunately that's not the case with builders present Mon-Sat inclusive. The location is beautiful in the hills and at the top of the valley but a fair walk to the beach, unless of course you are fit and up for a challenge it's the best part of 30 mins away, so a rental car or taxi is the best option. To go the short route there is about 100 steps to climb to exit the complex, at the top there is a gate, unfortunately the key (1 of 6) didn't fit! Its completely dark up these steps so a torch is essential otherwise its positively dangerous. Luckily we were let in from guests leaving otherwise it would have been a long walk around. It's a definite DIY breakfast, the bread, Butter and jam are in the shared fridge to help yourself along with fruit, tea and coffee. The kitchen which is fully equipped is busy in the morning. Then it's up to you to do your own washing up. Housekeeping, to your room is every other day. We were treated to an upgraded room with balcony but unfortunately that's where the laundry is also done on the shared balcony, the inviting sunbeds were used to take the wet washing prior to all linen going in the tumble dryer. We were able to use the sunbeds in the evening. This is a resort where you have to be self sufficient as there is no restaurant or bar or shop nearby, but Sharon the manager does give information for taxi, supermarkets and anything else you wish to sort out for yourself. (The recommended taxi guy - Roger is great).
