Reviewed By jwaters93We loved our stay here! Hilde welcomed us with cold schnapps made on the property. I ended up buying some, it was so good! Our room was cozy and lovely with comfortable beds, a beautiful view, and charming historic furniture. The breakfast was fantastic, with homemade plum pie and honey and the yellowest eggs I've ever seen, in addition to the usual - meats, cheeses, breads. You can also buy other homemades: juices, ciders, jams, sausages, etc. I'm such a hedonist, I wish I had room in my bag for more. The whole property was so wonderful and for what we got, the price was totally inexpensive. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Reviewed By amzieAustraliaWe really enjoyed our stay here, the view from our balcony was amazing and the rooms were huge with a kitchenette with everything you could need. It was a great place to relax and have a break for a couple of days, lovely sitting on the balcony looking and the view and watching their hens run around. Very warm welcome on arrival and no problems speaking English. We went for a nice walk that starts from the end of the property and up the mountain. Would love to stay here again! Very clean and good wifi.

Charming and friendly at a bargain price.
Reviewed By sdicb02This farmhouse is delightful, with loads of oddities and a rustic feel about the place. The owners are very welcoming and although they speak only a little English, communication was not a problem. We found it very quiet and relaxing, and was an absolute bargain at only 34 Euros for a double room, inclusive of a continental breakfast. Rooms do not have a TV, so be prepared to make your own entertainment, or go for a walk as the scenery around Gutach is stunning. We did find that even though it was August, very few inns seemed to be open in the near vicinity. However, once a week the owners make "flammenkuchen", where they cook a local pizza type bread in their own wood fired bread oven - very nice. The owner also provided a glass of home made powerful schnapps. There is plenty of room for kids to let off steam, and there are bikes and scooters etc for their use. Also, right next door is a fantastic looking small scale roller coaster, that follows the contours of the hill side.
