Reviewed By anaandrobertpOur group has visited Jufa Hotel Stift Gurk during a sporting event in the region. It was realy pleasant experience for us. Very friendly personel, fulfilling all our needs like earlyer breakfast, later dinner, placing our equipment. The rooms are large, very clean and the whole hotel is really pleasant place to spend time in. Iwant to thank all the personel and wish that we would come back some day in the future. Hotel whose quality seems to have degenerated
Reviewed By periandroThe Kronenwirt Gasthof is a good hotel located in a quiet part of the nice city of Gurk, though several flaws which can be ascribable to some members of the personnel lessen its intrinsic worth. I had already stayed there in July 2019 and I found it fabulous. I couldn't have a better impression that time. None the less, that I got on the occasion of my last stay in July 2021 wasn't unfortunately so good. The manageress is an elderly lady who looks like an officer of the SS. She seems to be everywhere at the premises, deadly serious and staring at the customers. At least, she did it to me, what was rather unpleasant. Her daughter is apparently the manageress's assistant though in fact, she seems to be in charge of most of the managerial duties. She also works at the kitchen. She is quite helpful but not very kind. The kindest, most helpful and friendly as well as charming person working at that hotel the first time I lodged there, Victoria, wasn't unfortunately there this time, and her absence was to be deeply regretted. If one has ever met her, he can't but miss her when, upon returning to that hotel, she isn't there. The breakfast was neither as good as in my first stay. This last time, for instance, there was no pastry at all, but only bread, cheese, ham and crammed meat apart from, of course, some hot drinks. The hotel is very well decorated, mainly with typical motifs of the State of Carinthia, which are very nice and special. The bedroom I was allocated however (number 21) was better that that I had the previous time (number 2). At the latter there is no table whereas in that where I slept on the occasion of my second stay in Gurk there is one. That piece of furniture is of course essential to read and write comfortably. In general the room was comfortable, especially the bed, whose mattress is adequate to have a good rest. By and large, for the aforesaid reasons, my experience in the hotel last year was not as good as it was in 2019. I don't think I'll book that hotel again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Ein Esel, zwei Lamas und viele Biohühner
Reviewed By hansludwigsAuf der Suche nach einem ruhig gelegenen, originellen Ferienhaus stießen wir auf die “Hütte zum Verlieben” im stillen Gurktal, in der Mitte Kärntens. Auf dem Gelände des Bio Bauernhofes der Familie Kampl stehen vier kleinere Ferienhäuser, alle in der typischen, dunklen Holzbauweise für “Austragshäuser” hier “Troadl”! Auf dem Gelände befinden sich mehrere Fischteiche, im größten ist ein Schwimmbecken eingelassen, das wohl von der Hauseigenen Biogasanlage beheizt wird. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr sauber und ordentlich. Im Haupthaus befinden sich auch noch einige Gästezimmer. Alle Gäste erhalten auf Wunsch ein herzhaftes Frühstück -natürlich mit Bioeiern von den eigenen Biohühnern. Die Chefin selbst sorgte für einen herzliche und schnellen Frühstücksservice. Vor dem Hauptgebäude befindet sich der Riesige Auslauf für das Bio Federvieh. Für Kontrast sorgen ein Esel und zwei Lamas. letztere waren recht reserviert und schauten mit stolz erhobenen Köpfen aus der Ferne die Besucher an. Ganz anders “Vera” die Eselsdame. Sobald Sie eines Besuchers ansichtig wird, kommt sie angetrabt, lässt sich streicheln und kraulen. Hingehaltene Gräser zermalmt sie mit Genuss. Die ganze Umgebung strahlt eine unheimliche Ruhe aus Alles in Allem: wer Ruhe sucht, ehrliche Gastfreundschaft, ein sauberes Ferienhaus und Bioeier mag ist hier genau richtig. Ach ja: aufgrund des schönen Wetters und der zahlreichen Wander- und Bikewege haben wir den “Wellnessbereich” gar nicht angeschaut. Holen wir nach.
