We stayed at the guesthouse and it was very clean, cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Add the superb waterfront location to that, the hot tub and very sweet dog and you can imagine that we had an amazing stay here. Would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Hotel Eskifjördur is situated on the main road of the quiet fishing village of Eskifjordur with views across the fjord and surrounded by mountains. All of our 16 double rooms are stylishly decorated and each has its own en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, basin and hairdryer. Other features include a flat-screen TV offering a large selection of international channels, free Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities.
Place was nice enough. Clean, comfortable bed, and if you're lucky you'll get a room with a view. Otherwise you'll look at nothing. Check in is within a specific time frame - do not miss it. Shower takes a lot of getting used to. You'll have you find that hair's width balance between magma and ice bath. My only real complaint was the breakfast. Were it free - it would be fine. But this is paid for. $20+/per person for a few thin slices of cucumber and white bread. I realize many places in Europe charge more for breakfast, but those places also usually provide food. Nice place. Would stay again. Never would have given money for breakfast had I known.

My family and I stayed here 1 night. Our bedroom was on the second floor and the steps were steep and narrow. The room was nice and warm. There was a tv downstairs and a make-shift kitchen. The bathroom was downstairs and the showers downstairs down the hall. The breakfast was nice. It was an ok hotel, but the hotel was full and with that many people sharing bathrooms and showers it just wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for.

Chose this hotel because of cheap price and including breakfast. Eskifjordur has some lovely scenery and therefore this is a good base. The real drag was that the toilets and the shower rooms were all on the ground floor whereas our room was upstairs. Staff friendly and breakfast basic but filling. Overall got what we paid for...
