Excellent hotel, designed with Japanese businessmen in mind

Not much reason to come to the South Cikerang Industrial Area unless you are visiting or working at one of the many Japanese factories here (Honda, YKK, Hitachi....). The Axia's clients seem to be about 99% Japanese workers on secondments to the factories and the hotel/Serviced apartments are designed to cater to their needs. One of the towers has an Italian restaurant and the other (30 secs walk) has a Japanese restaurant. Prices for everything are reasonable, including beer and other alcoholic drinks and there is a Japanese supermarket (Papaya) just outside the hotel. Lippo Mall is within fairly easy walking distance and the Hotel provides a map showing restaurants in the area, as well as offering a bicycle rental service. The Axia is new (about 2016) and spotlessly clean. Everything works the way it is supposed to and service from the front desk is excellent (Well done to Fitri and Angela especially). The included Japanese breakfast was fine and the public bath (Sento) was better than many I've been to in Japan - offering a large indoor bath and then a smaller semi-outdoor one. Women's hours for the bath are an uncharitable 1pm to 6pm, but given the almost all male customer base this is to be expected. Bottled water provided in rooms with a good range of amenities. The wifi works fine and no issues with the smell of smoke. Unlikely to be in Cikarang again, but if so would be happy to stay at the Axia again.
