The Bío Bío Region (BEE-oh-BEE-oh; Spanish: Región del Bío-Bío pronounced [ˌbi.oˈβi.o]), is one of Chile's fifteen first-order administrative divisions; it is divided into four provinces: Arauco, Bío Bío, Concepción, and Ñuble. It is also known by its original denomination: VIII Region. Concepción is the capital and largest city. Other important cities include Chillán, Coronel, Hualpén, Los Ángeles, and Talcahuano.

This is a small village that keeps customs from rural areas of Chile. Its main characteristic are the patrimonial vineyards at Bio Bio riverside. These vineyards have existed more than 200 years, kept because of family traditions. To get the place you can do it crossig the river in a small ferry to Diuquin ex-train station. This point was an strategic place for Spanish forts in Arauuco war.
You will find a monument of Bernardo O'Higgins Chilean independence leader known as Chile's founding fathers.He got a large piece of land close to Los Angeles city "Hacienda Las Cateras" after his father death. He came back to Chile from Peru and lived as senior farmer. In this place he designed the Independence of Chile. Nowaday we just have an old tree that was next to his house.
