What a fun way to get around town! Even if you’re inexperienced, a scooter is easily learned and you’ll settle into it really quickly. The guys at Mondo Rent will show you. The shop is located on a quieter street and you can ride down towards a dead end for a quick practice. It won’t take more than a couple of minutes to get the hang of it and you can throw yourself into the proper Barcelona traffic - which is actually quite well behaved! The staff at Mondo were all super friendly and welcoming. The bikes and helmet in reasonable shape. There’s no stress and rules around fuel that you get with some places. An altogether chilled feel to it. The prices attractive, no need to bother with some other modes of transport if you have the freedom to get around like so many locals and park it pretty much wherever you want to stop. I had a lot of fun with it, I would even say it changed the entire feel of this weekend trip for me: to ride up Tibidabo and around the city, and for two days pretending to be one of the locals. Either bring international drivers license or sign a disclaimer and ride at your own risk of getting a fine ( I did the latter). Vamos!
