Zikhron Ya'akov (Hebrew: זִכְרוֹן יַעֲקֹב, lit. "Jacob's Memorial"; often shortened to just Zikhron; Arabic: زخرون يعكوف) is a town in Israel, 35 kilometres (22 mi) south of Haifa, and part of the Haifa District. It is located at the southern end of the Carmel mountain range overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, near the coastal highway (Highway 2). It was one of the first Jewish settlements of Halutzim in the country, founded in 1882 by Baron Edmond James de Rothschild and named in honor of his father, James Mayer de Rothschild. In 2016 it had a population of 22,660.

I have been there three times in two different escape rooms. The rooms contain many puzzles and quizzes. Most of them different kind of codes using numbers and letters. We succeed to achieve the goal of each room. It was a great fun and up to five people it is reasonable to work this out ( although on one occasion we were only three and we also succeeded ). Many of the puzzles use logics and mathematics and you use your left hemisphere of your brain most of the time. The scenery is quite nice. It is great fun also for kids around 9-10 years old and above.
