Take your camel to bed at this oasis town in southwestern Tunisia, home to a staggering 200,000 palm trees. Long prosperous due to its setting on the Sahara-crossing camel caravan routes, Tozeur is known for its quality Deglet Nour dates, its beige brick architecture, and its 14th-century medina (Ouled El Hwadef), where the fascinating Dar Chariet Museum houses many early artifacts, including jewelry and ceramics. Tozeur also served as a Star Wars movie series backdrop.

This is a very amazing place. It is a desert but instead of sand you walk on salt! If you have the opportunity to be there at sunrise time the view is even more shocking.

I have been there around the 09th of August, 2018, At the first sight, I have got some dizziness and I got lost dua to the beauty of the place and the designs of the decor which really harmonized with the Tunisian desert as you can feel you are one of the movie actors playing out there...So cool. I do recommend any visitor include it in his or her visits plan, it really worth that.

It’s very delighted to walk around the old market. I can feel the daily living of the local people and all are friendly. They would say hello to tourist and welcome photo shooting. I buy the handmade bags with very funny pattern at a bargained price.
