Every room is a different era and the building snakes around the top floors of the downtown area. There is so much to see and experience. It is truly like stepping back in time. I love to touch the antiques and wonder about the people who have held them before me...If only the antique pieces could talk...I could spend hours in this place and never tire of exploring the many treasures. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES IN ALL OF LEE COUNTY!

Great offf-road bike trail....definitely the best around Sanford, Ft Bragg, and Fayetteville area.... Closer to 10 miles. Great hiking, boating and fishing as well.

The last part of arrival is on a well-maintained state dirt road leading to the preserve's gravel. We chose to go to the second parking area where most trails begin. The trails are very well marked. We traveled various trails (be sure to download a very helpful trail map before you come), hiking down to the Rocky River, then to its confluence with the Deep River, and looping back to the parking area. The terrain is varied with deep hollows. It feels a bit like being in the mountains, yet only an hour from Raleigh. From Raleigh, I wouldn't follow the Google Map instructions. I would drive US1 to US15/501, and from there go south to Rocky River Road.

Great local place to try different kinds of craft beer. They had a lot of information regarding the beer. We had a great time.
