TANAGRA is an idyllic wine farm close to McGregor and part of the Robertson Wine Route and Route 62. We offer comfortable Self Catering farm accommodation in well appointed guest cottages, and produce handcrafted wines (with focus on certified Single Vineyard wines) and stylish Grappa, Eau de Vie and Fruit liqueurs in our boutique distillery.
We had a very delightful and relaxing stay at Tanagra Garden Cottage. Hosts are great and accomodating with everything. Wines are excellent too.

a short stroll from the main drag and you come upon this pottery....the place is bursting with beautifully crafted wood fired and salt glazed porcelain and stoneware....some of the creations are simply stunning....unusual takes on everyday ware as well as pieces designed to be shown off in their own space.....it's a bit pricey but each piece is unique....just pop in and take a look....

Lord's Wines was established in 2006 where viticulturist, Jacie Oosthuizen, turned his love for wine and cricket into a cellar. The whole concept is based on the Lord's cricket ground in London. High up on the northern slopes of the mountains surrounding Robertson, in the lush Mc Gregor valley, you will stumble across a gravel road that will lead you on the road to nowhere. At the end of this striking rainbow, you will find Lord’s Wines, cradled amidst fynbos and Proteas. At 500m above sea level, where the vineyards are the highest in the Robertson Valley, a breathtaking panoramic view made the call to establish Lord’s. This cooler climate and real terroir, where nature’s bounty has chosen high altitude for cooler temperatures, where sun, water, soil and slopes are melded, work in perfect harmony to produce cultivars like Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Chardonnay.
What a beautiful setting and a warm, friendly reception. The service was excellent (thanks Chandre), the Pinot Noir superb and the food delicious. We will definitely be back

Bemind was a very pleasant surprise. Their Cinsault and MCC is something special. The lady that presented the wine tasting was friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine and history of Bemind. Don't miss it when you visit this lovey little town.
