Kalotaritissa Beach

Reviewed By Gordon-Byron

A remote beach, no shop or umbrellas on the beach, just a small tavern close to the main of the 3 beaches. The sea is calm even if in other locations the weather is windy. Take a bottle of water or something to bite.

Kedros Beach

Reviewed By eleniaggeliki

When I think of the word "beach" Kedros springs to mind. It's how beaches in Greece used to look like some 20-30 years ago, unspoilt and pristine. There are no sunbeds or umbrellas but there's an excellent beach bar a fair distance at the back, among the trees that offers drinks, simple dishes and even board games to pass the time away from the sun. The sea is shallow so it's kid-friendly and the northern wind does not cause waves but on the contrary, it sandblasted us. Lot's of families go there but there were no shouting or "playful" splashing around that gets on my nerves. People who go there want peace and quiet and they find it. It's maybe the most frequented beaches in Donousa and the people there are in various stages of undress. Lot's of nudists mingle with people in bathing suits but the atmosphere is very relaxed and civilized. Nobody minds, grumbles or gossips. Last but not least, it's a beach friendly to free-campers. There's shade and I figured they've come to an arrangement with the beach bar to use its facilities so the place is clean and unspoilt. I wish all the beaches were like Kedros.

Livadi Beach

Reviewed By TheFabRitz - Winterthur, Switzerland

Livadi is incredibly beautiful. You can come here by boat, or by bus and then have to walk for about 20 minutes in a beautiful scenery. If you come by bus, make sure you stop at Tzi Tzi Restaurant near the bus stop. The view from there is faboulous.
