The most unique and surprising museum in Culver City. The exhibits portray themes related to topics that you'd not see elsewhere. The Cold War display is interesting as are the posters. The changing exhibits are topical and best understood with a docent. Great and easy parking. Lots of information online.

Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook

Reviewed By 34regisk - Arcadia, United States

Another great hiking trail and scenic lookout place in LA. During the pandemic, many people in LA come here to hike up to the hill top to have a panoramic view of downtown LA, Hollywood hill, the San Gabriel mountain and the Pacific Ocean. The hike is suitable for everyone. For the ones who want to have a good exercise, they can park their cars on the street and hike up 282 steep steps to a switchbacks where they can take a break and then hike another 300 feet to the top of the hill. For those who just want to get to the view, they can drive all the way to the parking area near the top and then take a 10 minutes walk to the overlook on top of the hill. The view here is breathtaking. On a clear day, you can vividly see the spectacular downtown LA skyline against the dramatic mountain backdrop. Many people also take advantage of the clean air and open spaces here on the top of the hill and do their morning exercise here. Especially during the pandemic many people come here to workout instead of the gym.

Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery

Holy Cross Cemetery is a very large, but beautiful and peaceful cemetery. The mausoleum and chapel building is something to see. Many famous people are buried here and breathtaking statues and monuments dot the grounds. It is very hilly so if you plan on doing any walking, be prepared for that. Well worth a visit. The staff is very helpful and friendly. George Vreeland Hill

Westfield Culver City

Reviewed By romadaro - Washington DC, United States

Had not been to this mall in years and didn’t know it was no longer called Fox Hills Mall or that all the new stores had been added, so can imagine my surprise. Whoever came up with the redesign did a fantastic job. This was a dying mall in a decent neighborhood but, for some reason, attracted a somewhat seedy crowd. Now, it hums on Weekends with a full parking lot and ordinary shoppers just looking for some great bargains. In addition to Macy’s, which has been renovated and has upgraded its merchandise mix, the mall now has a Nordstrom Rack, Best Buy and Target. It even has a nice food court, although it’s the standard fast food vendors found at most malls, and a children’s play court to keep the kids entertained. I feel good about saying it’s a good place to shop based on my experience and would go again.
