Derwent Reservoir is an oasis of peace and quiet. We parked at Pow Hill Country Park and then walked along to the head of the reservoir on the user friendly, all user path, good for pushchairs and wheelchairs. If you walk across to the other side of reservoir there are picnic areas with lovely views. It is gloriously quiet and is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life for a while. You could spend a couple of hours here or all day, walking the trails and having a picnic. Highly recommend.
