Saint Anthony Cathedral Basilica

Free parking shaded by old trees. Free admission, donations appreciated. Super nice lady at the check in office where you need to register, then she lets you in. Wonderful stained glass windows. Beautiful baptismal with endless water feature into the cross laden pool below that makes a very peaceful bubbling sound. Gorgeous organ pipes above the entrance. This has a very European feel to it like most catholic churches where I grew up in Germany. Lots of gilding and beautiful marble floors. 2 beautiful side alters and a spectacular domed ceiling. Highly recommend you go see this place for yourself.

We have lived in the area for over 4 years, and just discovered this Park and the Gardens. It's a free place to visit and operates on benefactors and donation. I'm . photographer and discovered it right when the Azaleas were blooming and it made for gorgeous photos. They also have an indoor conservatory that has a lovely waterfall, pillars and other water feature (also free to enter). I can not say enough good things about this place!

Cattail Marsh

We came here out of boredom and found a magical place. This marsh is easily accessible and has a wonderful wooden dock that brings you in the middle of the water. If you have more time I strongly suggest walking one of the many trails. We saw many different kinds of birds and insects, a few gators close up and a curious racoon that was hunting near the banks.
