Our philosophy regarding preparing and cooking food in our class is simple. We believe a hand - on training in the kitchen is the best way to learn how to cook. We also like you to be able to cook all dishes yourself at home by using our well described and exact recipes as guidance. For this reason we only show you the Indonesian way of preparing and cooking with traditional equipment, but we will cook with normal cooking/kitchen ware which every western Kitchen is equipped with. There will be no need for you to buy any additional expensive cooking utensils to prepare the dishes when you are at home. Let's get started and be ready to have some fun together. My boyfriend and I did the morning cooking class followed by the Tanah Lot Temple tour and it was an amazing experience. We got picked up from our Villa by Bob in a nice air conditioned car, and taken to the local markets to learn about the produce we will be cooking with. We then arrived at the MEXX Cooking School, a beautiful location overlooking rice terraces and lush gardens. We cooked a total of 10 recipes! The Tanah Lot Temple tour was also a lovely experience, Bob was a great tour guide. We had such a wonderful time learning about and cooking traditional Balinese and Indonesian cuisine and can't wait to re-create what we learnt back home! Special thanks to Erlinda, Astrid, Bob and the rest of the team for making our experience so memorable.
