Peterborough (/ˈpiːtərbrə, -bərə, -ˌbʌrə/ ( listen)) is a cathedral city in Cambridgeshire, England, with a population of 183,631 in 2011. Historically part of Northamptonshire, it is 75 miles (121 km) north of London, on the River Nene which flows into the North Sea 30 miles (48 km) to the north-east. The railway station is an important stop on the East Coast Main Line between London and Edinburgh.

The Guild started in the ruins of a church gutted by fire. It produces 8 shows per year including comedy, drama, family shows, musicals (Spamalot, Buddy Holley, Annie) and runs play readings (last Sunday of each month) and workshops in theatre. Licensed bar. Tickets around $20 or $30 for major musicals. Many critically acclaimed productions over decades. Home of Peterborough Academy of Performing Arts (PAPA). Has a website and online ticket sales.
