5 Bus Transportation in Istanbul That You Shouldn't Miss

October 14, 2021 Dorsey Hagwood

The mosques, bazaars, and Turkish baths of Istanbul could keep you happily occupied for your entire trip: an eyeful of breathtaking architecture here, a good-natured haggle over a carpet there. Kick your trip off at the awe-inspiring Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), which is visible from many points of the city. Stroll the Galata Bridge and stop by the Miniaturk Park to see its tiny artifacts. The Grand Bazaar has thousands of shops to browse, while the Egyptian Bazaar is a fragrant trove of spices and fruits.

We used the service from SAW to our hotel in Istanbul and the return journey. Communication prior to the trip was prompt, clear and hassle free. Zero wait at the airport, vehicles were clean and well driven and the drivers were extremely courteous. All this at a more competitive price than their competition. Definitely value for money and a great service to boot. Highly recommended.

Havaist

From the news airport of Istanbul (Istanbul yeni havalimanı), the most affordable and most convenient transport to various places in Istanbul is Havaist buses. After landing and claiming your baggage, you have to go to exit door and then to the elevators to floor -2 where there are the Havaist bus stations. Then according to your destination you have to buy a ticket from ticket desks available on that floor (the fare to Taksim is 18 TL for each person) or you can pay with your Istanbul card on the bus. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Taksim square. The buses are comfortable and the drivers are courteous. Buses are available at any time of the day or night. They leave every 15 minutes.
