I had toured the Marland Mansion in the late 80’s and loved it so I invited some friends for a revisit. There is so much there to take in and since my first visit a number of the Marlands original furnishings had been returned and/or restored. I enjoy this revisit as much as my friends who were on their first visit. Allow time to tout the first Marland home on Grand as well.

The Marlands lived in this home while the Marland mansion was being built. The house is more typical than the mansion and includes items and displays representing the Marland family and the Marland Oil empire of the 1920's. Seniors pay $4

On the grounds is a 30-foot-high bronze statue of a pioneer woman and her son, the museum honors the women of Oklahoma from the time of the Trail of Tears to the age of women in space. The museum displays typical items found in pioneer homes at the turn of the century, as well as artifacts from the 101 Ranch, home of a famous Wild West Show. Cost is $2.50 for seniors and free for veterans.
